My name is Madikay Njie , Secretary General Public Relations Association of the Gambia ( PRAG), and Manager Public Relations and Media for the Gambia Telecommunications Company LTD ( GAMTEL).
Gamtel a state own enterprise is mandated by an act of law to provide telecommunications and related telecoms services.
I started my journey in the telecoms industry with Gamtel for more than 30 years in various capacity with experience ranging from Managing the International traffic account, Managing the Gamtel Billing system and currently Manager Public Relations and Media respectively.
The African Public Relations Association (APRA) is the successor organisation to the Federation of African Public Relations Associations (FAPRA) that was inaugurated in 1975 in Nairobi Kenya to foster unity via interaction and exchange of ideas amongst public relations practitioners in Africa as a whole.
