Carolina Barros is angolan, Public Relations e Communication Manager professional, for more than 20 years. She was recognized like one of the 50 outstanding African women in Communication and Media for the Year 2023, by the platform Comms of Africa.
She’s also is recognized as one reference in Angola market, on the PR & Comms sector for create her own agency (2010 to 2023) and bring this subject on the table. Her professional skill is mixed between private (running own business for more than 10 years) and public sector.
She creat a several academics movements to teach the communication student’s, what PR is about, and the relevance of This Professional on the business strategy. Based in Angola, Carolina Barros was a Journalist, worked mainly for privet media. She have an specialization in Marketing – Brand Management, Institutional Communication, Project manager and, Business Development. She ́s an “Afrocata”. She drive a deep understanding of the African communications landscape with large experience, focus on the African communication industry.
Carolina was born in Luanda, Angola, she has lived and worked in South Africa. But, also works in African lusophone markets: Mozambique, São Tomé e Príncipe, Guiné Equatorial and Cape Verd.
The African Public Relations Association (APRA) is the successor organisation to the Federation of African Public Relations Associations (FAPRA) that was inaugurated in 1975 in Nairobi Kenya to foster unity via interaction and exchange of ideas amongst public relations practitioners in Africa as a whole.
