Historic day in #Niamey yesterday, as 5 Instruments of Operationalization were launched to support the implementation of AfCFTA. Here you go
1) #AfCFTA Trade in Goods password protected online portal where Member States will upload their tariff offers covering 90% of the tariff lines
2) The Pan-African Digital Payments and Settlement Platform within the AfCFTA launched by AbdelFattah Elsisi – عبد الفتاح السيسي President of the Arab Republic of #Egypt and Chairperson of African Union and Prof. Benedict Okey Oramah, President & Chairman of the Board of Directors of the African Export Import Bank – Afreximbank
3) The Continental Online Mechanism for Reporting, Monitoring, and Elimination of Non-Tariff Barriers within the AfCFTA launched by The Portal on Monitoring and Elimination of Non-Tariff Barriers launched by H.E Mahamadou Issoufou, President of the Republic of #Niger and Leader of the AfCFTA and Mukhisa Kituyi Secretary General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development
4) The Dashboard of the African Union Trade Observatory, which will be the repository of information gathered from African Union Member States launched by HE.Moussa Faki Mahamat, Chairperson African Union Commission, Dr. Arancha Gonzalez, Executive Director, International Trade Centre and Neven Mimica, European Union Commissioner for International Cooperation and Development
